As the driving force and founder of In Rebellion, Ray Buttigieg wanted to fuse a kind of modern primitiveness (or a primitive modernism), a combination of acoustics and electronics in a time when voices needed to be heard and rebellions, of sorts, needed to be realized and carried out. Amidst recording projects and hectic travel schedules, from Jamaica, where Jason Barnes was born, to London, Toyko, Toronto, and New York, for four years, in the 1980's, several recording sessions were set up and some magic was definitely created in those late hours of the night.
